This video is about the threats to a unique ecosystem in the Fraser Valley in British Columbia, and the efforts of local activist, Dr. Tracy Lyster, and fisheries scientist and British Columbia Institute of Technology Instructor, Dr. Marvin Rosenau, to protect the ecosystem. They are doing this by educating the local population about what is at risk if high density housing developments are approved in the ecologically sensitive lands of Mission, British Columbia.
It also describes and showcases the contributions of local scientists, artists, photographers, poets and other community members to The Footprint Press, a free magazine that is written and distributed by volunteers and made available at no cost to residents.
