Abstract

This timeline provides an in-depth analysis of Canadian Publishing Industry policies introduced within the last 50 years, and how its growth and evolution indirectly supported oligopolistic dominance, as with the case of the “Big Five”. As such, there will be a particular focus on Penguin Random House and their exceptional path in becoming an increasingly threatening multinational publisher.
